Sanibel Ranked #1 on 11 Stunning Florida Towns You Need to Visit
Sanibel Island has been named Number One on the “Top 11 Stunning Towns You Need to Visit“, by BuzzFeed, for its seclusion and untouched beauty. The article states, “You won’t find many buildings that are taller than a palm tree on Sanibel Island, and that’s because the City has taken careful measures to preserve the natural beauty of the area.”
The Stevenson family has been staying and playing on Sanibel Island for nearly two decades. After vacationing in a variety of different accommodations on the Island, we came to one conclusion…“There’s no better place to hang your beach hat than the fabulous Pointe Santo de Sanibel Resort Condo complex on West Gulf Drive in Sanibel Island Florida.” Check out their Live Webcam.
Beautifully landscaped with tall palm trees and a fresh water lagoon, Pointe Santo de Sanibel is Sanibel’s finest resort located directly on the Gulf of Mexico at the southern most tip of the island. The resort includes amenities: gas barbecue grills, a heated pool, Jacuzzi spa, two tennis courts with complimentary tennis rackets, shuffleboard, beach and pool chairs and a clubhouse with activities for every age, including an extensive and supervised children’s program.
Sanibel Island lies just off the Southwest coast of Florida, connected to South Ft. Myers on the mainland by a three-mile causeway. The island is shaped roughly like a boomerang, running west to east.
The Pointe Santo complex is on the beach at the southern-most point of the island, facing due south to the Gulf of Mexico — see the map below.
